Who We Are:
Our winery began its production in the 1950's under the guidance of Giuseppe Damonte. Today the estate is run by Massimo and Roberto Damonte, Giuseppe's sons, who inherited their father's passion for winemaking. Despite constant growth in production and exposure to new markets, the winery is still a family business that benefits directly from the involvement of Federica and Patrizia Damonte, the wives of Massimo and Roberto. Currently, the two brothers split the responsibilities, Massimo managing the vineyards and Roberto the cellar.

Our vineyards can be found in three regions: Canale, Monteu Roero and Castellinaldo, covering a total of 42 hectares, with an average yield of 45 hectolitres per hectare. Our annual production totals are about 360,000 bottles (30,000 cases).

We received our first "Tre Bicchieri" award in 1990 for our Roero Superiore, and have consistently won Tre Bicchiere's for our Roero Superiore's since. We have won a Tre Bicchieri for our Roero Superiore Trinita' 2004 Roero Superiore Mombeltramo and 2005 Roero Riserva Mombeltramo.

We have also been awarded CINQUE GRAPPOLI awards every year, along with a Decanter Silver Medal this year for our Roero Arneis 2007 DOCG.

Where We Are Located:

Our winery is located in the heart of the Roero, near the village of Canale, 15 km from Alba. Our soils are famous as they were once completely covered by sea. What remains of the sea is the calcareous clay and slightly sandy soils. This particular soil type gives our wines the flavors and minerality that make them truly unique.

Our winery is located at the foothills of our Trinita' vineyard which also surrounds the famous Villa Tiboldi restaurant and 13 room luxury inn.

Our Wine Labels:

When deciding on the design of our wine labels, we wanted to stay close to Roero tradition, using symbols found on tarot cards displaying a wheel, a symbol similar to the Conti Roero family coat of Arms. The symbol of our Roero DOC wine label (an angel and a dragon bound to a wheel) also welcomes our visitors at the front gate of our winery.
