History and Farm's Philosophy

The Azienda Agricola Lamoretti is a family Farm placed in the middle of "Food Valley", on the hills near Torrechiara Castle. It was found by "zio Giuseppe" in 1930, when he came back from U.S.A. . Since 1964, with the entry of Isidoro Lamoretti, the Farm increases its extent step by step. The actual extension is around 20 hectares, cultivated following the indication of "Lotta integrata" (to preserve grapes's genuineness and the ambient) . Actually Isidoro and Giovanni Lamoretti control all the activities, especially grapes' production and their vinification.

Lamoretti Farm produces all the typical wines such the autochthonous Malvasia di Candia Aromatica (white), Barbera (red), and Lambrusco (red), besides the international wines such Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay.

Lamoretti's philosophy, especially during vinification is to comply with nature utilizing all the modern not intrusive technology, to obtain fine and palatable wines, with an agreeable taste. According to this philosophy, Lamoretti chose to make wine only from their grapes, obtained following indication of "lotta integrata" protocol. Harvest is made by hands, and the grapes are pressed immediately. Temperature is always controlled during all vinification stages.
