Wines
Introduction
- When you are browsing in your local wine shop, you will notice that most of the labels of the wines that are made in Europe will tell only the appellation (wines made from selected varieties, grown in a defined production zone - DOC or DOCG in Italy, AOC in France, DOC in Spain and Portugal), but they (the labels) give no indication of the contents of the bottle. The grape (or grapes) is not there as you normally see on the labels of your favorite wine from California (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, etc).
- That's why we prepared a list with of the most important wines (appellations - and the expected content of the bottle) made in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
- We hope it will serve as a guide the next time you are shopping for wine.
